Locasaurus

Hello developers and fellow game-lovers!

We are Locasaurus, a pack of 11 professional linguists translating video games from English and Japanese into French. We love indie games and want to share our passion with the (French-speaking) world, so we offer our localization services for free to developers who create free games.

Our localization services
We offer a full localization package, including translation of the game script, thorough proofreading and LQA (linguistic quality assurance, a final step in which we test our translation in-game to make sure that everything is displayed properly). We also offer cultural counseling during the localization if some elements of the game need to be adapted to a French audience.
In addition, we can put you in touch with translators who work from English into LATAM Spanish, if that’s something you’re interested in!

The kind of games we translate
We love brainstorming on silly puns, finding ways to make the French language as inclusive as possible, debating on the best way to express each characters’ personality, or thinking up cool names for equally-cool weapons or monsters. We have a soft spot for narrative, wholesome games, but we have experience in several different genres, as you can see below or in our portfolio.
